As a California Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, I have had the pleasure of working with a diverse population and a wide range of issues. I have had the privilage of offering informed, professional assistance to individuals, couples, and families for over 18 years. In addition to my Los Altos private practice, I am an onsite counselor at a major tech company in Silicon Valley. I am experienced in providing counseling services for people of diverse backgrounds, ages, sexual orientations and lifestyles. My approach to therapy combines a compassionate and active partnership with my clients, balanced with the artful science of research-proven psychology.

I work with clients experiencing a wide range of issues including couples counseling, parenting/co-parenting and working with families with children on the autism spectrum. I help clients learn effective strategies to cope with issues such as depression, anxiety, peer and relationship, stress, health, life transitions, LGBTQ, grief/loss, academic difficulties, career development, and work-life balance.I offer both short term counseling and longer term therapy.

I have also worked as a Program/Clinical Director at Family Service of the Tri-Cities, a Non-Profit Counseling Agency in Fremont, CA . My responsibilities at FSTC included recruitment, hiring, training and supervising staff of licensed therapists, therapist interns and therapist trainees. I provided case consultation and clinical supervision as needed and conducted annual staff performance evaluations and staff meetings.

I completed my undergraduate at Cal State East Bay (formerly known as Cal State Hayward), and earned my graduate degree from San Francisco State University, where I also had the opportunity to provide therapy to students as part of my graduate training.

I completed a fellowship at Stanford University, where I counseled graduate and undergraduate students in the counseling and psychological services department. Through this experience, I gained extensive training by many experts in the field of psychology, while I was able to help a varied student population with a wide range of psychological issues.

I have also completed my practicum trainings at San Mateo Behavioral Healthcare Services- Catholic Charities, and at Family Service of the Tri-Cities, in Fremont, CA. Through these practicum trainings I gained a great deal of experience working with a diverse population of individuals, couples, families, and groups by providing therapeutic services to help them explore and grow in ways that enrich their lives and relationships.

I am professionally affiliated as a licensed therapist with the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
